The good news is that we who believe in a Creator God can be guaranteed that Spring is on its way! Those who accept the evolutionary worldview cannot say that. Jason Lisle states this in his book. The Ultimate Proof of Creation. There is uniformity in nature. The universe is logical and orderly and it obeys mathematical laws that are consistent over time and space.
Laws of logic are contingent upon God’s unchanging nature. And they are a prerequisite for logical reasoning. Thus, rational reasoning would be impossible without the biblical God.
The irrational, illogical, random belief of the evolutionist cannot guarantee us that spring is coming. They would be like the ground hog that would always see its shadow. They must rely on biblical creation assumptions that are contrary to their professed belief in naturalism (nature is all that there is) or empiricism (knowledge is gained only by observations).
God has promised that “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22)
Our lives are much like that as well, aren’t they? We all have gone through, or will go through, depressing winters of our lives when the evil results of sin seem to snow down on us in abundance – when we struggle with the thoughts that we will never be able to dig out of this winter of our lives. We ask the question, “Will it ever end?” But there is a loving Creator that guarantees that the joys and beauty of Spring can come, now and for eternity. We can trust in our Creator God for these tough times as well. His awesome character is like SNOW:
Sovereignty
“Thine O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.” (1 Chron. 29:11,12)
Never changes/ Never leaves us
“…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)
“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…” (Deut. 33:27)
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev.1:8)
Omniscience/ Omnipresent – Psalm 139
Wisdom
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge…” (Prov. 1:8)
“In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col. 2:3)
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally…” (James 15)
So with joyful hearts and full assurance of our faith let us cry out,
“Let Him SNOW!”
