Henry Blackaby in his book, Experiencing God, gives seven realities of experiencing God:

1. God is always at work around you.
2. God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
3. God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
4. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
5. God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
6. You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
7. You come to know God by experience as you obey Him and as He accomplishes His work through you.

God is at work in Shenandoah Valley and in the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship®. As I mentioned in the CEF blog recently, Good News Clubs are getting started again for the school year, and new possibilities are opening up in Woodstock and Winchester. God has invited us to join Him in this work by providing a house in Woodstock which will put us in the heart of where God is at work at the present time. There are even possible job openings for Joyce and Kathy locally!

We are in the process of purchasing a brick basement rancher home in foreclosure just outside the city limits of Woodstock but close to all the stores and interstate. The house has four bedrooms, a living room, a family room with fireplace downstairs, an

attached two-car garage, and a large room off the kitchen which will serve as my office. There is a lot of cosmetic work to be done but the house is

structurally sound. Our tentative schedule is as follows:

October 12 – deadline for final closing

October12 – 28 – painting, cleaning, fixing, etc., moving small things as we come and go

October 29 – make the big move with all the furniture, etc.

If God would lead you to help in any way, please respond accordingly. The following are some of the immediate needs and work that needs to be done:

• A lot of cleaning and painting; power wash the outside and decks
• Refinish wood floors
• Install laminate in office, vinyl in kitchen and bathroom
• Install closet doors in bedrooms
• Clean gutters, correct drainage, landscape yard away from house
• Later in the winter or early spring: move raised garden beds
• We have possible leads on the following, but they are not confirmed:
• Gas range and dryer (propane), washer
